With the WNBA Finals tied at 2-2 between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries, that means a Game 6 will definitely be happening. The only thing was that before today, there was no confirmation as to where it would be played, as the Dream went through some hoops to get Games 3 and 4 played at State Farm Arena.
It wouldn't be that easy for Game 6, so the best thing the WNBA could do was move it to Thursday at 12:30 pm, while pushing the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers game to 8:oo pm. Many are surprised that the league agreed to make it an early afternoon game, especially on a week day.
The players don't seem worried about the time change, and they're ready to play wherever and whenever.
“Super excited that it's going to be at State Farm. The crowd has showed up and showed out, Jordin Canada said via Avery Braxton of Atlanta News First.
“It's the finals, you just gotta do what you gotta do, and we're locked into winning a Game 6. I don't care if we're playing at 8am, 10pm, midnight, we got a championship to win,” Allisha Gray said.

As for the fans, it might be hard for them to come to a game like this on a work day, and they showed their frustration on social media.

“So they’re going to start the game at 9:30am pacific time right as Valkyries fans are heading into work. Amazing,” another user wrote on X.
If the Dream weren't playing at State Farm Arena, which holds 17,000 people, they would've went back to Gateway Center Arena, which only holds 3,500. It looks as if the league is prioritizing in-person attedance more than anything, but it's hard to see the arena packing out in the middle of a work day.
