Jordyn Woods is ready to conquer flu season with a little help from Walgreens.

Woods is partnering with Walgreens to tackle flu season head-on. The model and entrepreneur is part of the “Don’t Get Benched by the Flu” campaign with the retailer, which is urging people to get a flu shot ahead of winter season. Woods shared why she decided to get a flu shot this year.

“So for me in my busy, crazy lifestyle, I really can't afford to get benched or get sick,” Woods exclusively told ClutchPoints on Monday, Nov. 2. “And so for me, with being exposed to so many people, whether it's at a game or at my pop-up or just in flights and different things, it was really important for me to get the flu shot.”

While Woods decided to get the flu shot given her many outside activities via her own brand Woods by Jordyn or supporting her husband, Karl-Anthony Towns at NBA games, she also urged people to look into what works for their own health.

“Then also the initiative that they're pushing the flu does affect so many different people, and it affects them so differently. So I can't tell every single person to get it, but I can spread awareness and recommend that everyone do their own research, but it definitely helps a lot of people each year,” Woods explained.

When it comes to her other preparation for winter, she tries to “not overcomplicate it and making sure I try to stay active.”

Woods expressed that the importance of “moving my body and you're actually sweating, it does help move things. You're not staying stagnant and then I get IVs, I take vitamins, and really just try to sleep.”

How Can You Get A Flu Shot With Walgreens This Flu Season?

While the Times Square activation was on Nov. 2, you can still get a flu shot to get ahead of winter sickness caused by the flu. All Walgreens retail locations administer the flu shot with options to either walk in or schedule your vaccination. You can schedule up to four patients in advance here, via the Walgreens app, calling 1-800-WALGREENS, or texting “Flu” to 66879. The flu shot is available to eligible individuals ages 3 and up.
