The New York Giants walked out of Week 5 with a 27-27 tie with the Washington Commanders. In retrospect, it was a game the club should have lost as Washington got into field goal range to win the game. However, Jayden Daniels and the offense completely botched the closing seconds and failed to spike the ball before time expired, resulting in a tie. It was a shocking way to end a game, and it had John Harbaugh just as surprised as anybody else.

During his postgame press conference, the 64-year-old head coach admitted just how surprised he and his team were watching the clock hit zero on the Commanders at the end of overtime, according to Pate Leonard of NYDN Sports. Harbaugh is convinced nobody will ever see a football game end the way it did in the Giants-Commanders game on Sunday.

“John Harbaugh says he was ‘surprised' as he watched Washington run the clock down to zeros,” Leonard reported. ‘I don't want any of you to act like you've ever seen a game like that before or that you'll ever see a game like that again!'” Harbaugh said. “Giants were stunned. In a good way.”
