Texas football left its fans frustrated on Saturday as the No. 1-ranked Longhorns suffered a heartbreaking 27-24 loss to Oklahoma on Tate Sandell’s game-winning field goal. The loss ended their winning streak and prompted a stern message from Emmanuel Acho.
After the game, Acho voiced harsh criticism of the Longhorns in a video posted on X, expressing disbelief at how the team managed to lose despite holding a significant statistical advantage.
“That's disgusting. That's absolutely disgusting. How the hell do you lose to an Oklahoma team when you outgain them by 150 yards? You will have 2.7 yards of rush, not even three yards of rush. You throw a pick-six for a touchdown. You get a pump block for a touchdown,” Acho said.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning delivered a mixed performance, throwing for 260 yards and three touchdowns while also committing two costly interceptions. Manning helped the Longhorns establish a 17-7 lead at halftime.
However, Manning struggled in the fourth quarter, throwing two costly interceptions that ultimately proved decisive. The first was returned for a pick-six, handing Oklahoma its first lead of the game. His second interception gave the Sooners another opportunity to take control, eventually setting the stage for Sandell’s game-winning field goal.
In his blunt assessment of the defeat, Acho also directed sharp criticism at Manning.

Arch got to look at himself in the mirror after this game and say, “Who am I?” The entire dreams of the Texas Longhorns hinge on Arch Manning. Arch, not good enough today, bro,” Acho added.
The loss dropped Texas to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in SEC play, while Oklahoma improved to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in conference action. The Sooners also secured their first victory over an AP No. 1-ranked team since 2007
