The ongoing beef between Robert Kraft and Macklemore has done a lot of things, but it's not responsible for Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour shows at Gillette Stadium being canceled.
TMZ reported that Sheeran's two shows at Gillette Stadium on Sep. 25 and 26 have been canceled due to weather. A nor'easter storm is expected over the weekend.
A representative for Kraft said that they had been monitoring the weather, and it was ultimately determined to cancel the shows, a decision the rep called “difficult.”
“Stadium and tour management, along with public safety officials, have been closely monitoring the weather forecast over the past week. Due to the severe weather forecast throughout the weekend, the tour has made the difficult decision to cancel the Ed Sheeran concerts at Gillette Stadium.
“The decision was made with the safety of fans, staff and everyone involved in the shows as the top priority. Refunds are available now at the point of purchase. Ticketholders who purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded,” the rep added.

A lot has been made about Sheeran's ongoing tour, thanks to Macklemore. The rapper opened for Sheeran at his MetLife Stadium shows on Sep. 4 and 5.
During his set, Macklemore went on a political rant that included a “Free Palestine” chant. Kraft allegedly gave Sheeran an “ultimatum” in the wake of Macklemore's antics. If he kept the rapper on the tour, he wouldn't be allowed to play at Gillette Stadium. Some of the other NFL team/stadium owners co-signed Kraft's “ultimatum.”
Macklemore was then kicked off the tour. In turn, Sheeran's other opening acts followed suit. He had to find a new backing band after Beoga left in solidarity. Macklemore has since announced the Free Palestine Tour, which will run for three shows from Oct. 26 to 30.
