On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles hit the road and earned a narrow win over the Tennessee Titans to begin their season 2-0. It was the second straight uninspiring performance for Philadelphia against weak competition to open up the season, but Philadelphia still made the plays they needed down the stretch.

One of them was a huge sack from Jalen Carter to keep the Titans out of the end zone in the fourth quarter, which occurred around the time he went down briefly with an apparent injury.

However, Carter himself gave a positive update on his health after the game.

“Jalen Carter said he was just cramping at the end of that game. He’s fine. He also said he didn’t feel too hindered by his wrist injury,” reported Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia on X, formerly Twitter.

Carter had a bit of a down season for the Eagles last year but still earned a hefty contract extension this offseason, making him one of the highest-paid defensive linemen in the NFL, and he has gotten off to a strong start to the 2026 season for Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts orchestrated a touchdown-scoring drive in the final seconds of this one to give the Eagles the win, showing poise under pressure despite a relatively frustrating game for the offense overall.

The Eagles now sit at 2-0 and will have a long week off before they next hit the field on September 28 for a big Monday Night Football game vs the Chicago Bears on the road.
