Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Andy Dalton is reportedly being demoted to QB3 after his disastrous relief appearance against the Chicago Bears in Week 3.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo’s report on Sunday, the Eagles are making a major shuffle to their backup quarterbacks ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.
As per his report, Tanner McKee will now serve as the No. 2 QB behind Jalen Hurts, while Dalton moves to third on the depth chart.
“Reported on @NFLGameDay Kickoff: The #Eagles are flipping backup QBs today against the #Rams, sources say. Tanner McKee will be the No. 2 behind Jalen Hurts while Andy Dalton becomes QB3,” he tweeted.
Dalton entered the Bears game after Hurts was evaluated for a concussion following a hit in the second quarter. Philadelphia was trailing 7-0 when the veteran quarterback took over.
