On the brink of GTA 6's release, EA Sports has also announced good news for gaming and boxing fans. Just days after the successful release of EA Sports FC 27, the publisher is now bringing back its iconic boxing game, Fight Night.

EA Sports Fight Night was an extremely popular game, first released in 2004 and running till 2011, after which the game came to a halt. Now, after a wait of 15 years, EA Sports is bringing Fight Night back.

“To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back,” EA Sports wrote on their social media and announced the game. While Fight Night is a boxing game, boxing fans already have Undisputed with them. Undisputed was released in 2024 by Steel City Interactive. However, despite featuring a hefty roster of current fighters, the game never became popular due to its outdated graphics and choppy gameplay. Despite its faults, Undisputed is still the first licensed boxing game to hit the market since EA Sports' Fight Night.

In March 2011, Fight Night Champion, the latest entry in the series, was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game showcased the fictional Andre Bishop on its cover, who gained popularity among fans because his career was highlighted in story mode. With the game now officially announced, EA Sports has yet to decide on a cover star for the game.

With several popular boxing stars in the industry right now, fans online have been debating about seeing Ryan Garcia, Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua, or several other stars as their person of choice on the cover.
