Game 1 of the WNBA Finals is on Saturday, but the Atlanta Dream still may not have one of their key stars available to take on the Golden State Valkyries. Allisha Gray remains listed as questionable after suffering a left hand injury in Game 1 of the last round against the New York Liberty.

On Friday, Gray gave her honest assessment about her chances of suiting up to play in Game 1.

“Allisha Gray was back practicing today with the Dream, but said she won't know if she's a go for Game 1 until after she gets through warmups. She said she's hopeful she'll play, but ultimately it's not up to her,” Annie Costabile of The Athletic wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Playing without Gray would be a major blow to the Dream. Gray led the team in scoring during the regular season, averaging 19 points per game. In the playoffs, she is averaging 17 points over three games, which is fourth on the team.

To the Dream's credit, though, they've found a way to cope after Gray's injury and are yet to lose a single game in this year's playoffs. Veteran DeWanna Bonner has slid right into the starting lineup and supplied steady play. Meanwhile, the trio of Angel Reese, Jordin Canada, and Rhyne Howard continued their consistent production as they completed the sweep of the Liberty.

Still, the absence of another playmaker in Gray will be a big loss, especially against a suffocating Valkyries defense that has given reigning MVP A'ja Wilson and Paige Bueckers problems in the playoffs.

Game 1 of the WNBA Playoffs tips off at 2:30 PM ET at Chase Center.
