Derrick Henry passes Marcus Allen for third on all-time rushing TDs list

Ravens running back Derrick Henry scored three times in Sunday’s 41-23 win over the Colts, with rushing touchdowns of 4, 32 and 3 yards.

It moved him past Marcus Allen on the NFL’s all-time career rushing touchdowns list.

Allen had 123. Henry now has 125.

“I love Marcus Allen,” Henry said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “I got to get to know him through the Heisman commercials. He’s a great dude. And for my name to be mentioned up with his, it’s an honor. I’m very grateful.”

It was the eighth time Henry has had three or more rushing touchdowns, and he finished with 144 yards.

Henry, 32, trails only Emmitt Smith (164) and LaDainian Tomlinson (145) on the list.

He passed wide receiver Marvin Harrison on the all-time total touchdowns list and is now ninth with 130. Wide receiver Cris Carter is eighth with 131.

“You don’t want to take it for granted with those type of performances because they’re really special,” Ravens coach Jesse Minter said. “But it’s a tribute to how he operates and how he works every day.”
