The Houston Texans took a desperation step Wednesday to address their 0-4 start. This one involving head coach DeMeco Ryans and defensive coordinator Marr Burke.

Ryans will now take control of the play-calling on defense, with ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter helping report the change.

Reports are that communication issues has arisen for Houston, hence why Ryans is taking over. But this ends a truncated run for Burke.

The defensive coordinator earned play caller duties in September of last season. So that move got Ryans to take a back seat from that role. Now the head coach returns to his roots as the caller of the defense moving forward.
