The Los Angeles Dodgers will turn to Justin Wrobleski and Landon Knack for the bulk of Thursday's series finale vs. the Cincinnati Reds after Blake Snell's early exit Wednesday night.

Wrobleski will start at Great American Ball Park, while Knack will return to the active roster and follow him as Los Angeles navigates its pitching depth. The Dodgers will option Bobby Miller to Triple-A Oklahoma City in the corresponding move after he worked 2 1/3 innings Wednesday.

The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya took to X, formerly Twitter, relaying manager Dave Roberts' pitching plan as the Dodgers adjust following Snell's unexpected departure with left groin tightness.

“Justin Wrobleski will start and he and Landon Knack will take the bulk of the game tomorrow. Bobby Miller is being optioned for Knack, Dave Roberts said.”

Snell felt his groin “grab” during his pregame bullpen Wednesday but still made his scheduled start. The two-time Cy Young winner threw one scoreless inning on 19 pitches before the Dodgers removed him as a precaution.

His departure forced the Dodgers to use six relievers over the final seven innings in their 6-2 loss. Miller accounted for 2 1/3 of those frames after the club recalled him Monday when Edgardo Henriquez went on the injured list.

Wrobleski, meanwhile, has pitched out of the bullpen since returning from a left forearm injury on September 1. The 2026 MLB All-Star was already on the active roster, while Knack was with the Reds as organizational pitching depth ahead of his recall.

Los Angeles is 92-60 after Wednesday’s loss. The San Diego Padres’ 9-3 win over the Colorado Rockies kept the Dodgers from clinching the NL West that night and left the magic number at one. A victory Thursday against the Reds, or a Padres loss, would give the Dodgers their fifth consecutive division crown.
