Chicago Cubs fans made their feelings about Pete Crow-Armstrong clear Wednesday night, showering the star center fielder with âÂÂMVPeteâ chants after his second home run against the Atlanta Braves.
Crow-Armstrong launched his 44th homer of the season in the seventh inning at Wrigley Field, a solo shot to right-center that extended Chicago's lead to 7-2. It capped another milestone-filled performance for the 24-year-old after he had already made franchise history earlier in the game.
Marquee Sports Network took to X, formerly Twitter, capturing Crow-Armstrong's return to the dugout as teammates celebrated and the Wrigley crowd serenaded him with an MVP-themed chant.
