Coach Brian Schottenheimer's Dallas Cowboys found themselves 2-4 heading into Monday Night Football's clash in Philadelphia amid the dropping of a Dak Prescott truth bomb. Philadelphia is banged up heading into the game judging by the Eagles' Week 7 injury report, while the Cowboys have injury concerns of their own to worry about.

Word broke prior to the game that the Cowboys will be without two players against the Eagles, who will not be traveling with the team to the City of Brotherly Love.

“OLB Marist Liufau and S PJ Locke, who were both listed as questionable on Saturday's game status report, will not be traveling with the team to Philadelphia,” the Cowboys PR account said.

“They will both remain on Reserve/Injured-Designated for Return.”

Locke has three tackles this season in two games for the Cowboys. Lifau is a 2024 third-round pick who has not played a game with the Cowboys this season.

The Cowboys have been reeling on both sides of the ball with rumors swirling about a potential trade for Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat. Philadelphia is also 2-4 headed into the game and has a worse point differential than the Cowboys and even more difficult injury problems to contend with affecting star players DeVonta Smith, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and others.

Monday night's game feels like a must-win for Schottenheimer and his team if they are to establish any momentum headed toward the NFL season's midway point. Fans are growing restless after what feels like an endless string of prime time defeats, putting the onus on Prescott and the Cowboys to bring home a huge division win.
