After weeks of rumors and speculation about Conor McGregor parting ways with UFC and joining BKFC, “The Notorious One” himself has commented on it. For weeks, McGregor has been rumored to return to BKFC, where he is a part-owner as well.

McGregor is scheduled to have his UFC fight in 2027, after which he is expected to bid adieu to the sport. After achieving the peak of MMA, McGregor has expressed his wish to expand and explore different areas of fighting. At 38, his newest interest lies in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, aka BKFC.

“Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is unstoppable at the moment. What a few months we've had. God bless true fighting. I can't wait to do it, one more to go. One more to go, and the Mac Daddy is free,” McGregor said in a deleted Instagram Story. Despite his excitement to join BKFC, McGregor as of now has zero bare-knuckle experience. However, he once boxed Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017, following which he adapted a heavy boxing approach into his MMA style.

Conor McGregor heavily teased changing careers after UFC

A few days ago, speaking after BKFC 92, BKFC owner David Feldman detailed how his company's business partnership with McGregor is evolving into McGregor's fight plan. “We’ve had those conversations in the past,” Feldman said. “He’s very, very focused to come back for his last fight, and then he’s going to come here [to Fenway Park] and sell this whole f***ing stadium out.”

Despite interest from both sides, McGregor's final UFC fight is still to take place.
