Jayden Daniels took accountability for his costly error in the Washington Commanders' overtime draw against the New York Giants this past weekend.

Washington had a major opportunity to kick a field goal for the win against New York. However, Daniels failed to take into the account the running game clock as it expired. This resulted in Washington missing its best chance of getting out of the game with the win.

Daniels spoke with Washington media on Thursday, per reporters Nicki Jhabvala and John Keim. He refused to blame his coaches, taking full accountability for what he did wrong in the last contest.

“It was ultimately on me, so I said my two cents and said it'll never happen again and move forward from that,” Daniels said.

“Don't even put it on the coaches. I have to be more aware out there and manage the game right. I did not do that. No matter what happens on the sidelines, I've got to know everything happening and make sure we're in the right situation to win the game.”
