Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor has grown tired of the constant trade speculation surrounding his future with the franchise as the team prepares for its Week 9 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaking to reporters Thursday, Taylor acknowledged that the rumors have become a regular occurrence, with Indianapolis continuing to entertain potential offers ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

Mike Chappell of FOX59/CBS4 Sports shared Taylor's comments in a video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

“It’s kind of been dragging on for a while now so after this point, it becomes noise. At this point it just becomes noise. It’s been like three or four, however many weeks so it’s like regular scheduled programming.”

The 27-year-old running back has remained one of Indianapolis' most productive offensive players despite the team's disappointing 2-6 start.

Through eight games, Taylor has recorded 610 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 148 carries, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt. He has also contributed 21 receptions for 202 yards, bringing his total to 812 yards from scrimmage.

However, Taylor struggled during the Colts' embarrassing 42-7 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8, managing just 23 rushing yards on eight carries while adding four receptions for 24 yards. He also lost a fumble in the defeat.

The loss extended Indianapolis' losing streak to four games, with the organization continuing to struggle following consecutive victories over the Houston Texans and Washington Commanders earlier this season.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Taylor emphasized that his primary concern remains improving the team's performance rather than worrying about a potential trade.

When asked about playing through the ongoing speculation, Taylor pointed to Indianapolis' recent struggles and the importance of responding against Dallas.

“I guess it doesn’t really matter because at the end of the day we got an opportunity especially this week, especially after last week to come back and put a better product on the field. That’s my biggest goal. I mean last week was tough. You never wanna go and put that on display.”

Taylor's comments come amid a significant roster overhaul in Indianapolis, which recently traded All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Colts have also reportedly received considerable interest in Taylor, although the organization has maintained a high asking price for its franchise running back.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero previously reported that Indianapolis rejected an offer involving a 2027 second-round pick and additional draft compensation.

With his future still uncertain, Taylor will look to help the Colts snap their four-game losing streak when they host the Cowboys (3-5) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
