Coach Shane Steichen's Indianapolis Colts are 2-4, two games behind the Jaguars in the AFC South and facing bad Tyler Warren and Sauce Gardner injury news ahead of Week 7 in Minnesota. The Colts have taken a wait-and-see approach on the team so far with Daniel Jones struggling and Anthony Richardson making news on a marijuana-related charge.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport spoke on the Colts' situation on The Pat McAfee Show ahead of Week 7, revealing that they could be sellers if they don't prove themselves a contender soon.

“The Colts have a couple more games before they have to make the decision if they really wanna trade these guys…They want to give Shane Steichen the opportunity to see if they can win these games before the trade deadline.”

Star running back Jonathan Taylor's name was mentioned as a potential trade candidate by fellow insider Adam Schefter recently. Colts defensive lineman DeForest Buckner, who spoke about his goals recently, was mentioned as one potential trade candidate by Rapoport.

Another potential trade option is Quentin Nelson, the Colts' guard whom Rapoport was surprised wasn't given a contract extension before the season.

“Everyone's looking for guards, he's one I think would make sense…There's a lot of good players on the Colts with expiring contracts who won't extended for whatever reason,” Rapoport continued. “If they do a quote-unquote fire sale, they'll be able to get back some good stuff,” he added.

The Colts are 6.5-point underdogs against the Vikings in Minnesota, a game that could determine the fate of several key players going forward.
