Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes lost to Texas Tech on Saturday, but the game has reverberated far beyond the football field. Although the team lost 29-7 to the Red Raiders, a fan claimed on a Red Raiders fan forum called Inside the Double T that he got a 25-page playbook he believed was Colorado's at the hotel bar.
“OK I’m not posting pics of it but a bunch of us are in the Colorado team hotel at the bar and we found a 25 page or so playbook that I would bet large amounts of money on is the actual CU playbook. It’s got opening plays, red zone info, our tendencies, etc., etc.”
Another user who called himself a buddy to the group that found the playbook shared an Instagram post of the playbook. X user @lubbockist then matched up what was seen on the Instagram post with the actual plays from Colorado's offensive drive in the first half, as well as the first few plays of their second-half drive.

The user, who goes by the name VivaTerlingua, posted on On3's Red Raiders sports forum. On3's Pete Nakos did a special report on the incident and reached out to Colorado for a response. Per the report, Colorado decided not to weigh in.
Nakos also spoke to the user who remained anonymous. VivaTerlingua said that he believed that the play sheet was real when he saw the opening of the game. He then posted it to the forum early Sunday morning to prove to other users he was telling the truth after allegations that he was lying about finding it at the bar.
He says that he believes the playbook is too detailed to be fake.
“It didn’t even wind up making a difference in the game,” VivaTerlingua said. “The level of detail — it was like nobody would make this up. It was 25 pages. The level of detail was too great.”
