Colin Cowherd has been successful in his second attempt in expanding his portfolio into soccer.

Front Office Sports reported that Cowherd has acquired a minority stake in Premier League side Ipswich Town.

The size of the holding is unknown, but Ipswich have a reported valuation of $450 million after an ownership restructure late in 2025.

"Reached by phone, Cowherd confirmed that he became a part-owner in the team. His late mother, Patricia, was from Leicester, 120 miles away…" the outlet reported.

"A spokesperson for Ipswich said he wasn't able to comment on any individual investment arrangements."

He later told the outlet that he has previously tried to purchase a state in a Major League Soccer (MLS) team, but nothing panned out.

Cowherd is the host of 'The Herd' on FOX Sports one, and is a regular contributor to the network's NFL Kickoff show.

He made his name as a radio host, but has also recently expanded his business empire.

His podcast network at The Volume has grown immensely, and the 62-year-old has recently explored a sale that could coup nine figures.

Many A-list sports personalities host podcasts on Cowherd's network.

This includes Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham, Richard Sherman, Nick Wright, and former MLB players David Ross and Anthony Rizzo.

His co-host on 'The Herd', Jason McIntyre, is a minority owner in Liga MX's Nexaca.

Cowherd joins a unique list of other Ipswich minority owners, that includes 44-time award winner Ed Sheeran.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston and former Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem also have stakes in the soccer club.

Ipswich were founded in 1878, joining the football league in 1938.

In their first season in in the top flight (1961/62), they won the league title. They have won the FA Cup once in 1978.

They were an inaugural member of the newly-minted Premier League in 1992.

However, after relegation in 2002, the club spent the next decade-and-a-half in the Championship Division, culminating in their demotion to League One 2019.

They have yo-yo'd between the Championship and Premier League in recent seasons.

Time will tell if 'The Herd' begins featuring regular updates on Suffolk’s favorite football club, but Cowherd has officially put his money where his mouth is.
