The NBA is on the verge of both domestic and international expansion. Commissioner Adam Silver recently provided updates and intel on the discussions that took place at the NBA's Board of Governors meetings on September 14 and 15 in New York City, making it clear that Las Vegas and Seattle are the only two cities being discussed for expansion.

With an official vote expected sometime before the end of 2026, it continues to look very likely that Las Vegas and Seattle with take the NBA from 30 to 32 teams before the 2028-29 season.

Globally, the NBA continues to push forward with its European league project, with talks indicating that it could begin as early as around this time in 2027. However, the NBA is in discussions with the EuroLeague on how this will all happen, with more details expected to emerge in the coming weeks.

ClutchPoints' NBA insider Brett Siegel and NBA reporter Tomer Azarly break down all the latest surrounding the NBA's expansion efforts, as well as Silver's firm statement on the LA Clippers' punishments for salary cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard.

Plus, Brett and Tomer provide updates on where negotiations are at between the Detroit Pistons and Jalen Duren.
