The Los Angeles Clippers have brought guard Cam Christie back on a two-way contract for his third NBA season after he cleared waivers on Friday, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The 21-year-old was waived by the franchise on Wednesday, shortly before his previous minimum-salary deal was set to become guaranteed.
Los Angeles selected Christie with the 46th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. He appeared in 55 games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game. He also shot 24.5% from three-point range.
During his rookie campaign in 2024-25, Christie recorded 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds across 13 NBA appearances. He also produced 18.2 points per game with the San Diego Clippers in the G League during his first season.
The Clippers had reportedly expressed interest in retaining Christie on a two-way agreement. The organization and Christie had previously agreed twice to postpone the salary-guarantee deadline on his earlier contract.

However, the Clippers must make another roster move before the signing can become official. Although the team has an available two-way contract slot, its overall roster is currently full, meaning a player must be released to accommodate Christie's return.
