A Tyreek Hill reunion in Kansas City may be more than just a nostalgic possibility. The Chiefs are expected to have strong interest in bringing back the veteran wide receiver once he recovers from injury and receives medical clearance. That's according to The Athletic’s Mike Silver. With Hill reportedly targeting a November return, the possibility of reuniting with Patrick Mahomes could give Kansas City’s offense another dangerous weapon for the 2026 NFL season.
Silver reported that the Chiefs’ locker room would welcome Hill back. Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and other players reportedly supported the idea. That enthusiasm could help pave the way for discussions if Hill becomes available. However, Kansas City’s interest does not guarantee a deal. Also, Hill's his recovery timeline remains a key factor in any potential reunion.
Adding Hill would give the Chiefs another explosive option alongside Kelce, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Tyquan Thornton. His game-changing speed could stretch opposing defenses vertically. That could create more room underneath for Mahomes’ established targets and add another dimension to Andy Reid’s offense.

He also earned multiple All-Pro selections and helped the franchise capture a Super Bowl LIV championship. That's before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2022. In Miami, Hill continued to dominate. He recorded consecutive seasons with more than 1,700 receiving yards.
A return to Arrowhead would reunite Hill with the franchise where he became a superstar. For Kansas City, the appeal is obvious. That said, Hill’s health and the details of any potential agreement will determine whether this reunion becomes reality.
