Kansas City Chiefs quarrerback Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL on December 14 while facing the Los Angeles Chargers. He missed the rest of the season, but Mahomes returned from the knee injury for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.

In his first drive of the game, Mahomes scored the first touchdown of the game.
