As one of the stars of the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos, Mansoor Delane didn't get to celebrate with his teammates on the field after Kenneth Walker led a 31-10 coming-out party on Monday Night Football, as he was in the locker room getting work done on a shoulder injury.

Discussing Delane's impact and absence from the game against the Broncos on ESPN, Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter revealed that the LSU cornerback did injure his shoulder, but the initial X-ray and CT scans came back negative, signaling that he may not miss an extended period of time.

“Mansoor Delane deserves all of that praise, but he did spend the day getting tests done on that shoulder,” Schefter said. “Of course, made the interception, landed on that shoulder, and actually suffered an injury earlier in the spring and summer on that scapula, landed right on that. He's had some tests, so X-ray negative, that is a good sign. CT scan, negative, not out of the woods yet, but there's a lot of positivity that this is a short-term injury.”
