The Kansas City Chiefs have gotten off to a strong start to the 2026 NFL season, currently sitting at 2-0 after a recent home win over the Indianapolis Colts in overtime. Patrick Mahomes looked much more like himself in that one, throwing for nearly 400 yards in the win.
Now, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was surprised with a special gift: WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark's new signature shoes, in the colors of the Chiefs.
“I appreciate you, girl. All the ladies of the WNBA, you guys are unbelievable, man. Keep cranking, love watching you. Caitlin, I love the color, man, look at these things,” he said, per a video posted to the Chiefs' account on X, formerly Twitter.

Fans in the comment section also found plenty to like about the new kicks.
“OMG Those look amazing!!! I want a pair,” wrote one fan.
“Andy Reid has to wear the Caitlin 1’s at a game. It would be legendary,” chimed in another.
Reid hasn't exactly been known as a style icon during his days as the Chiefs' head coach, but perhaps that could change now that he has some of the hottest new kicks in the game at his disposal, courtesy of Clark, who has been having an MVP-level season for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs have been off to a stellar start of their own this year, dismantling the Denver Broncos in Week 1 before holding off the Colts in overtime on Sunday.
Kansas City will next hit the field on September 27 for a road game against the lowly Miami Dolphins at 1:00 pm ET.
