The Los Angeles Chargers watched their Sunday unravel badly inside SoFi Stadium. First prized tight end addition David Njoku left on a medical cart. Then running back Omarion Hampton coughed the football up that swung the momentum toward the Las Vegas Raiders.

And the visitors left Charger fans in shambles following the Raiders' 26-14 victory. With disaster arriving for the Chargers late in the fourth via Hampton.

Hampton took the handoff from quarterback Justin Herbert and charged through an opening up the right. But Nakobe Dean buried his shoulder and helmet into where Hampton held the ball, jarring the ball loose. Vegas pounced on the miscue and took advantage from there.

Safety Jeremy Chinn pounced on the loose ball. Then wide receiver Cody White, elevated from the practice squad before the game, sealed the win by scoring his second touchdown. Once again, the loss drew out the ire of Charger fans.

“The Chargers are a worse football team than I ever thought we’d see under Jim Harbaugh. The season is over and it’s September 20th,” posted Guilty as Charged Podcast host Steven Haglund.

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel proclaimed that the Chargers now have a 16% chance of making the playoffs. Meanwhile, ESPN NFL insider Benjamin Solak described the Bolts as a mess three times.

LA even received a pregame boost via wide receiver Ladd McConkey, who became healthy enough to play after all amid his ribs injury. But McConkey's presence didn't matter in the end, with the Bolts now 0-2 overall.

Meanwhile, the rival Raiders have emerged as a big early surprise at 2-0 now.
