On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics improved to 2-1 on the 2026-27 NBA season with a dominant home win over the Chicago Bulls. It was another solid game for Jayson Tatum, who has shaken off his disastrous first game of the season with two straight good performances.

Tatum has been involved in a media war with former teammate Jaylen Brown over the last couple of weeks, with the two sides taking subtle digs at each other in press conferences, and on Monday, Celtics announcer Drew Carter joined Team Tatum with a comment after the star's buzzer beater.

“Man, 19/6/6, that man has a great PR team,” said Carter as the teams went into the locker rooms for halftime, per fbreaker on Reddit.

This was a clear dig at Brown's recent bizarre claim that Tatum has “a great PR team” and that he should “stay ready at all times.” This came after Brown accused Tatum of lying when speaking about his reaction to the trade that sent Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason.

The feud has made it clear that the two stars were not as close friends as some Boston fans wanted the NBA world to believe they were during their time as teammates on the Celtics, although there can certainly be no arguing with the results they produced, as the Celtics went on several deep playoff runs and won the 2024 NBA Finals with Tatum and Brown leading the way.

It will certainly be interesting to see the kind of reception Brown gets when the 76ers visit Boston for the first time this year, especially now that he is seemingly going out of his way to burn bridges between himself and his former star teammate.
