Th Philadelphia 76ers are in a tightly contested contest with the NBA Champion New York Knicks on opening night of the NBA. Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the Knicks came in eager to get off on the right foot while Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Tyrese Maxey, and Sixers wanted to get their new core together for the first time playing meaningful basketball.
Late in the first half of Sixers-Knicks in what was a two-possession game, LeBron James was seen going back and forth with a fan sitting courtside or within the first couple of rows.
“I don't know what the f*ck you're talking about,” James was seen saying to the fan. “I'm not from the West Coast. I'm from Ohio, baby. I'm not a midwest kid. I'm Ohio baby.”
It's unclear who exactly James was saying this to, but the exchange didn't appear to be anything hostile. Likely just some light banter between James and some courtside Knicks fans.
After three quarters of play, the 76ers lead the Knicks, 83-76. Tyrese Maxey leads the way for Philly with 20 points while Jaylen Brown has 19 through three of his Sixers debut. LeBron James has 11 points with four rebounds and six assists. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson has 19 points with five rebounds to lead the way for the Knicks.
