The Chicago Bulls looked to channel the energy from their win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday into their home opener against the Washington Wizards on Saturday. Early on, they didn't disappoint, thanks to Caleb Wilson and Matas Buzelis.

In the first quarter, Wilson and Buzelis complemented one another with back-to-back dunks, per BullsMuse. At 7:53, Wilson stole the ball and took it to the hole for a two-handed slam, putting the Bulls up 13-7. Then, Norman Powell got the ball at the other end, pushed it up the floor, and found Buzelis to his right. Buzelis drove into the lane, stopped, and slammed it himself with two hands.

Fans would get a kick out of that for obvious reasons. Wilson and Buzelis share the same love of the theatrics, especially when it comes to their ability to soar. Buzelis knows better than most how to go viral with his dunks, as he did last year. Arguably, Buzelis' dunk over Jalen Suggs in January

Meanwhile, Wilson can fly as well and has shown that thus far in the first half. Altogether, Wilson scored 17 points. He also made six field goals, five of which were dunks.

Plus, Wilson and Buzelis can help one another by easing the pressure of being the sole explosive guy. In the lead-up to the season, both guys found time to cultivate a bond. For example, Wilson and Buzelis attended a Cubs game in September with Bears QB Caleb Williams and cheered on Pete Crow-Armstrong.

As the story is being published, the Bulls lead the Wizards 62-57.
