Ryan Rollins is among those expected to take on an even bigger role on the Milwaukee Bucks after the Giannis Antetokounmpo era in Cream City ends. Coming off a breakout season, Rollins is also about to share duties in the backcourt with Milwaukee newcomer Tyler Herro.

“I think the biggest thing with us is pushing the pace and creating early offense… me and him have good communication… the more we play we’ll understand each other more,” Rollins said of his partnership with Herro, via Cameron Ezeir of CBS 58 News.

Herro arrives on the team as part of a package the Miami Heat sent to Milwaukee in exchange for two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Antetokounmpo and veteran power forward Bobby Portis. “The Greek Freak's” departure leaves a huge void on the Bucks' offense and defense, but Rollins and Herro can at least team up to cover for that, at least with their scoring and playmaking.

Herro, a former Sixth-Man of the Year Award winner, is scoring nearly 20.0 points per game in his career. Through 394 games in the league, the former Kentucky Wildcats star has averaged 19.5 points on a 45.0 percent shooting from the floor and 38.2 percent from behind the arc. The 26-year-old Herro is also unselfish with the ball, with a career average of 4.1 assists per outing.

Rollins, on the other hand, is looking to build on his strong 2025-26 season in which he averaged 17.3 points, 5.6 assistrs and 4.6 rebounds per outing.

The Bucks begin their 2026-27 campaign on Wednesday with a game against the Washington Wizards on the road.
