The Denver Broncos have gotten off to a strong start to the 2026 NFL season, currently sitting at 4-2 after a recent home win over the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. However, it's not all positive vibes in Denver, as the team has seen Bo Nix seemingly regress mightily to open up this season as compared to last year.
Still, Sean Payton doesn't have any plans to shake things up amid the rough start for his quarterback.
“Sean Payton has NOT considered a change at QB,” reported Zac Stevens of DNVR Broncos on X, formerly Twitter.
“[Bo Nix's] going to become the byproduct of all of the things that get improved,” said Payton.
Payton was also asked if he thinks Nix might be dealing with a mental roadblock after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him out of last year's AFC Championship Game.
“That's one of the things that attracted us to Bo in the beginning is we've seen his ability to climb through adversity—all of ours. It's not just Bo that feels that. Right now offensively, I feel that. Our players feel that. And we'll improve,” he said.

However, so far this year, Nix has looked like a shell of his former self, and outright refused to throw the ball downfield at times during Thursday's win over the Seahawks.
Denver will next hit the field on Sunday vs the Arizona Cardinals.
