The Denver Broncos have officially ruled out star cornerback Pat Surtain II for Thursday night's Week 6 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury.

Surtain, the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, will miss his second straight game after suffering a non-contact right ankle injury during the Broncos' Week 4 loss to the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.

The Broncos listed the two-time All-Pro as a non-participant throughout the shortened practice week before officially ruling him out Wednesday. His absence leaves Denver without its top cornerback against the Seahawks passing attack, led by superstar wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

ESPN's Adam Schefter shared the Broncos' final injury report Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter, confirming Surtain's status ahead of the primetime showdown at Empower Field at Mile High.
