The Milwaukee Brewers are extremely hopeful of winning their first World Series this week. After winning the first two games of the World Series in Milwaukee, the series shifts to the home of the Tampa Bay Rays at the Tropicana Dome for Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary). If the Brewers don't win 2 of 3 games in Florida, the series will move back to Milwaukee for Games 6 and 7.
The Brewers are not taking a chance of anyone connected with the organization missing out on a potential celebration in Florida. In addition to flying all of the players and their families to the games in the American League locale, they are also bringing a majority of the organization. The Brewers are filling up five planes to make sure the front office staff, scouting department and development department all get a chance to see the conclusion of the World Series if it ends at the Tropicana Dome.
The Brewers won the first two games of the World Series by scores of 3-2 and 5-4. Milwaukee broke out on top in the opener and held on for the win. However, the Rays came out with determination and energy in Game 2 and scored 4 runs in the top of the first inning.
Article Continues BelowMilwaukee manager Pat Murphy and the Brewers have been coming from behind throughout the postseason and they served notice that the World Series would be no different when they scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first. They eventually tied the score in the bottom of the sixth on a home run by Sal Frelick and took the lead on a base hit by shortstop Cooper Pratt.
The Brewers will send Robert Gasser to the mound in Game 3 Monday night while the Rays will counter with former Brewer Freddy Peralta.
