The Milwaukee Brewers are once again champions of the National League Central, and this time they made history. Milwaukee secured its fourth consecutive division title Tuesday night after taking down the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-1 at PNC Park before watching the Atlanta Braves complete a 6-3 comeback win over the Chicago Cubs.

The Brewers entered the night with a chance to clinch and received another outstanding performance from Jacob Misiorowski. The 24-year-old right-hander pitched five scoreless innings, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out seven. He opened the game by striking out the first three Pirates hitters and recorded five strikeouts through the first two innings.

Misiorowski improved to 15-5 and lowered his MLB-best ERA to 1.89. His seven strikeouts also pushed his season total to 243, moving him past Teddy Higuera's 240 strikeouts in 1987 for third place on Milwaukee's single-season franchise leaderboard. His 166 1/3 innings this season are also a career high.

The Brewers' offense supplied enough support before adding four runs in the sixth inning. Luis Lara opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly that brought Jake Bauers home in the second. Lara later doubled home William Contreras in the sixth, while Joey Ortiz also drove in two runs. Brandon Lowe added a solo home run in the eighth.

Milwaukee finished its game and waited for Chicago's result. The Cubs jumped ahead 3-0 against Atlanta, but home runs from Ronald Acuna Jr., Ozzie Albies and Drake Baldwin helped the Braves rally for a 6-3 victory. That loss eliminated Chicago from the division race and officially handed the Brewers another NL Central crown.

The accomplishment is historic. The NL Central was formed in 1994, and Milwaukee is the first team to win the division four consecutive seasons. The Brewers have won five of the past six NL Central titles and six of the past nine. Before this recent run, the franchise had won only four division titles during its first 54 seasons.

The team made the historic achievement official on X (formerly Twitter), proclaiming, “The FIRST 4-Peat in NL Central History,” alongside photos from the celebration.

Milwaukee is now 94-57 with 11 regular-season games remaining and sits two games ahead of the 92-59 Los Angeles Dodgers for the best record in the National League. The Brewers also own the tiebreaker after going 4-3 against the Dodgers this season.

The division is secured, but Milwaukee's pursuit continues. The Brewers are chasing the NL's No. 1 seed, home-field advantage throughout the postseason and a potential franchise-record win figure. Their current mark is within reach of the 97 victories achieved last season, while the team continues its search for its first World Series appearance since 1982.
