It's obvious that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was hyped up for Moana actress Auli'i Cravalho singing the National Anthem at the home opener at the new Highmark Stadium.
The Bills posted a video of Allen during the National Anthem. He was eager to show his teammates and the team's staff that he knew Cravalho from Moana.

“Do you know who this is? It's the voice of Moana,” he whispers to who appears to be the Bills' head coach, Joe Brady.
However, this wasn't the first time he used this piece of trivia. “That was the voice of Moana,” he told a teammate, who responded, “What, the girl?” Allen then said, “Yeah!” to the teammate, who claimed he “knew that.”
It makes sense that Allen recognized Cravalho. He has a young child, and perhaps his daughter likes watching the movie. After all, its sequel just came out in 2024 and grossed over $1 billion at the box office.

Maybe Allen was extra motivated after listening to Moana sing the National Anthem. He had an amazing game against the Detroit Lions, leading the Bills to 41 points.
He scored five touchdowns in the game. Allen threw three of them and rushed another two into the end zone. This followed up a four-touchdown (two passing, two rushing) performance in the Bills' Week 1 win over the Houston Texans.
Through two games, Allen looks like one of the favorites to win his second NFL MVP, after previously winning it in 2024. He has scored nine touchdowns and has yet to turn the ball over in the Bills' two wins.
Cravalho is a big Bills fan, so singing the National Anthem at the first regular season home game at the new Highmark Stadium likely meant a lot.
