Josh Allen continues to deliver impressive performances as he balled out in the Buffalo Bills' 36-31 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon.

Allen started the ninth season of his NFL career with the Bills. He shines as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, looking to lead the franchise to a Super Bowl appearance as it evaded him in past playoff runs.

Allen performed remarkably well in the season opener on the road. Against the Texans, he completed 20 out of 29 passes for 334 yards and two touchdowns while adding six rushes for 23 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

His ability to score touchdowns, both passing and rushing, have garnered immense praise over the years as a dual-threat quarterback. Therefore, he added another game to his record of having multiple passing and rushing touchdowns in NFL history.

Buffalo's offense peaked in the second quarter, outscoring Houston 21-14 throughout that frame. Both teams remained active with their scoring blows, refusing to give each other any distance until Buffalo pulled away at the end.

James Cook III had a balanced performance in the offense. He racked up 13 carries for 57 yards and made three catches for 12 yards. Dalton Kincaid led the receiving corps with five receptions for 130 yards, while DJ Moore caught five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Joshua Palmer impressed with a 34-yard touchdown reception.

The Bills will look forward to their next matchup, being at home. They host the Detroit Lions in Week 2 as kickoff commences on Sept. 17 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
