On Sunday afternoon, the Cincinnati Bengals hit the field for a tough home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bengals entered this game looking to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season last week vs the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Unfortunately, the Bengals got some tough injury news early in this one when star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase went down in the second quarter after a violent play.

The play was rightfully called a facemask on the Jacksonville defense, but the bigger concern was Chase and his status.
“Ja'Marr Chase is out of the injury tent and headed to the locker room following the facemask he suffered on that drive,” reported Ben Baby of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.
Article Continues BelowChase has been off to an epic start to this season, already having recorded several touchdowns and highlight reel plays for a Bengals team that has gotten off to a strong first month.
Losing him for any amount of time would do significant damage to the Cincinnati offense, which is still waiting for quarterback Joe Burrow to round back into his MVP candidate form after a relatively pedestrian opening act to the season.
The good news for the Bengals is that if Chase is forced to miss time, next week would be a good one to sit out, as the Bengals will hit the road to take on the winless Miami Dolphins in a game they will be widely expected to win.
However, Cincinnati fans will certainly hope for some good news before then.
