The Chicago Bears lit up the scoreboard at Bank of America Stadium against the Carolina Panthers in a 59-37 Week 1 win that backed up coach Ben Johnson's talk of having the best offense in NFL history this season. Bears fans took over the stadium with chants aimed at rival Green Bay, showing their strength in a blowout Chicago victory.

Prior to the season, Johnson made headlines by saying he wanted more than just a Super Bowl, laying out his ambitious goals for Chicago's offense. Johnson's team made his vision come true on Sunday, which led to a rollicking locker room speech that had his players and Bears fans fired up after the game.

“A lot of things that we said going into the week, they came to life, man,” Johnson said to his excited players. “We talked about getting takeaways on defense, we had three of them for the day right there…We talked about our preparation throughout the spring and throughout training camp”

Johnson said the season will only get harder from here on out and called the win “not pretty.” He recognized safety Dillon Thieneman, a rookie, who gave a quick word. He also gave a game ball to the offensive line, which fired up the Bears players even further.

Johnson capped it all off with a game ball delivery to running back D'Andre Swift, who appears to be getting more comfortable in the Bears' powerful offense as he goes along. Swift rushed for over 100 yards, which took the pressure off rising star quarterback Caleb Williams and helped to balance out an offense that looks like a force of nature heading into September 20's divisional game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Johnson didn't go shirtless for his latest locker room speech as he famously has in the past, but he didn't need to as he now has the full, undivided attention of his talented players. Williams and the Bears will need to play their best to win a stacked NFC North again this season, but with Johnson calling the shots, the Bears look as good a bet as any team to get the job done.
