The Chicago Bears started the game on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles hot. The Bears scored on the opening drive of the game, as Luther Burden dragged the Eagles' defense into the end zone.
After forcing a punt and punting themselves, the Bears got themselves into great field position, thanks to Devin Bush.

The fumble recovery by Bush put the Bears on the Philadelphia 15-yard line to start the drive. The Bears ran the ball on first down, with DeAndre Swift running for three yards. After a false start, Case Keenum found Burden for six yards, making for a third and six. The next pass was incomplete, but a flag for illegal contact made it a first down on the Philadelphia six-yard line.
On the next play, Keenum found Colston Loveland for what looked like a potential touchdown. After review, it was found that Loveland did not break the plane and was down at the one-yard line. Swift would get stuffed on the next play, before a pass to Rome Odunze was incomplete. The Bears decided not to take the points and instead went for it on fourth. Keenum's pass to Burden was incomplete, and the Bears did not come away with points.
