The Chicago Bears were able to walk out with a win against the Atlanta Falcons, and it was the defense that led the way for them. More specifically, it was Kyler Gordon's day, as he made his season debut after returning from injury, and he finished the game with four tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.

There had been uncertainty surrounding Gordon and when he would return, and general manager Ryan Poles didn't have the best update regarding the defensive back before the season started.

“I wish I had more for you all — but any time you have an injury, and you're coming back from something, there's discomfort that you have to push through, and that's what it comes down to,” Poles continued. “So we haven't been able to get over that hump, and we're not progressing as fast as we'd like. That's really all I have to say about that.”

After their win against the Falcons, Gordon was asked about Poles' comments, and he didn't seem too thrilled about them.

“It is what it is. I can't control what someone else says, but at the end of the day, I'm going to go out there, do my job to the best of my ability, and be the best player in the league at my spot,” Gordon said.

When Gordon is healthy, he's the best player in the secondary for the Bears, and he showed that this week. The only problem was getting him on the field, and the hope is that he can continue to stay healthy for the remainder of the season.

That would be good news for the Bears, who are currently 4-2 and looking to take control of their division early in the season.
