Caleb Williams returned in dominant fashion as he led the Chicago Bears to a 31-23 road win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
Williams is going through the third season of his NFL career with the Bears. He made his way up the ranks to become one of the best quarterbacks in the league, making the Divisional Round of the playoffs last year.
Willams suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2, missing a couple of games. He returned this week in time for the Falcons clash, and he didn't miss a beat.
Williams excelled with his performance leading the offense against Atlanta's defense. He completed 30 out of 36 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown. His efforts allowed him to have the sixth 300-yard game of his career, making franchise history in the process, per reporter Courtney Cronin.
“Caleb Williams had his 6th career 300-yard passing game, breaking a tie with Mitchell Trubisky for the most such games by a Bears player before turning 25,” Cronin wrote.
