The No. 1 Texas Longhorns are in a dogfight against the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers, as both programs aim to remain undefeated. However, in the first half of the game, wide receiver Cam Coleman suffered an apparent injury scare right after making a clutch highlight play.
Coleman made a brilliant play to keep the drive alive, which eventually led to the Longhorns scoring a field goal for three points. One of the NFL Draft's top prospect wideouts looked the part on this play.
Soon after making that catch, the Longhorns' star junior was taken to the blue medical tent, according to Anwar Richardson of Yahoo! Sports. Arch Manning was forced to play without one of his go-to weapons for a short duration.
“Texas WR Cam Coleman just went into the medical tent with a trainer,” Richardson reported. “He got banged up after that 30-yard reception.”
Luckily, a little over 20 minutes after sustaining the apparent injury, Coleman was cleared to return to the field, according to Evan Vieth of Inside Texas. Whatever the injury was, it seems to have just been a stinger and was nothing serious.
“Cam Coleman has returned,” Vieth posted on X.
