Alabama State star quarterback Andrew Body is nursing an injury ahead of the Hornets' Week 4 clash with Mississippi Valley State, according to The Montgomery Advertiser. Body suffered the injury in the team's Week 2 game against Troy. Body fell on his non-throwing hand, and his left wrist was wrapped.

After the loss, Hornets head coach Eddie Robinson Jr. told The Montgomery Advertiser that Body sprained his wrist. However, the severity of the injury has been unspecified. The Montgomery Advertiser reports that Robinson will be a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup against Mississippi Valley State.

Andrew Body has emerged as one of the best players in HBCU football, but he has dealt with several unfortunate injuries throughout his career. After suffering an injury in the Hornets' 2024 opening game in the Orange Blossom Classic against North Carolina Central, which kept him out for the rest of the season, Body returned in 2025 and helped the Hornets pull off one of their best seasons in recent memory.

Body turned in a standout 2025 campaign despite an injury late in the year that ended his season early. He still finished with 1,770 passing yards and 20 touchdowns against just one interception, adding 518 rushing yards and four more scores on the ground. With him back in the fold, Alabama State will look to carry last year's momentum forward, chasing another shot at the SWAC championship and Celebration Bowl, or a spot in the FCS playoffs.

This season, Body has already been off to a hot start, throwing for 410 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He has also been effective on the ground, rushing for 79 yards on 24 carries.
