Alabama took a victory on the field on Saturday. It was a 50-36 victory over Florida State that moved the Crimson Tide to 3-0 on the season as they prepare to open SEC play this upcoming week.

Now, Alabama is getting a win on the College Football Recruiting trail, flipping a player who was once committed to Tulane, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Kavarris “Duke” Duncan, who committed to Tulane in June, has flipped to Alabama. The 6-foot-2, 320-pound defensive lineman is a three-star recruit out of the state of Alabama. He saw Alabama as a chance to get to the next level.

“I feel like Bama has a standard that I fit. It’s an NFL outlet,” Duncan said.

He took a visit to Alabama this past weekend and spoke about playing for Alabama after flipping, according to Chad Simmons of Rivals.

“Bama has always been a big thing in my life since I was a kid,” Duncan told Rivals. “It’s a family thing, and it was put into me at a young age. We always watched Bama. That was one reason I chose Alabama. Then it is just the place, the fans and how they operate the program. I also love the Bama standard. They do hard workouts in the early morning workouts and I’m built for Bama.”

Alabama now has 15 signees for the class of 2027, ranking 22nd nationally and 14th in the SEC. The class is led by five-star quarterback Elijah Haven.

Meanwhile, Alabama is 3-0 on the year and a Top 25 team. They will host South Carolina on Saturday.
