The Philadelphia 76ers (2-0) will be without LeBron James for Saturday night's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks (0-2) after ruling out the star forward with a lower back injury.
Philadelphia's latest injury report Saturday afternoon officially listed James as out with low back/sciatica, marking his first absence of the 2026-27 NBA season.
The 41-year-old has appeared in both games since joining the 76ers during the offseason, averaging 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block across 33.5 minutes per contest.
James has struggled with his shooting efficiency early in the season, connecting on 37% of his field goal attempts and 76.9% of his free throws.
Despite those struggles, the four-time NBA champion played a significant role in Philadelphia's historic comeback victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
The 76ers overcame a 29-point deficit to secure a 114-106 victory in their home opener, improving to 2-0.
James finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block across 33 minutes. He shot 5-for-14 from the field, 1-for-4 from 3-point range and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
