The San Francisco 49ers have enjoyed a great start to the 2026 NFL season. San Francisco is 2-0 to start the year and looks like a contender in the NFC once again. Unfortunately, the 49ers now have to deal with more adversity after losing one defensive superstar to another injury.

49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa suffered a calf injury at practice this week, per NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter. Bosa is expected to miss a few weeks with the injury.

He will not play against the Cardinals in Week 3. It is also unclear whether or not Bosa will land on injured reserve.
