49ers sign TE Brayden Willis to active roster

The 49ers filled an open spot on their active roster Tuesday.

They announced that they have signed tight end Brayden Willis off of their practice squad. The 49ers had 52 players on the roster after placing defensive lineman Alfred Collins on injured reserve last week.

Willis was a seventh-round pick in 2023 and he’s bounced between the practice squad and active roster throughout his time with the team. He has appeared in 23 regular season games and four playoff contests with most of his playing time coming on special teams.

The 49ers also announced that they have signed defensive lineman McKinnley Jackson to their practice squad.
