San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro missed another extra-point attempt Monday night against the Washington Commanders, extending an unusual trend during his tenure with the team.
The miss followed Christian McCaffrey's 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter at Levi's Stadium. It came after quarterback Brock Purdy converted a fourth-and-3 with a scramble for a first down.
Pineiro's failed attempt left San Francisco leading 13-3 with approximately four minutes remaining in the opening quarter.
The 31-year-old kicker has been considerably more reliable on field goals than extra points since joining the franchise in 2025.
The San Francisco Standard's David Lombardi noted the disparity Monday on X, formerly Twitter, pointing to the veteran's contrasting kicking numbers.
