The San Francisco 49ers are expected to have rookie running back Kaelon Black available against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday despite a groin injury.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter both reported Sunday morning that Black is expected to play after receiving a questionable designation earlier in the week.

“49ers RB Kaelon Black (groin) is expected to go on Sunday after being limited some this week, sources say,” Rapoport posted on X, formerly Twitter. “Coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters this week it was minor.”

The rookie first appeared on San Francisco’s injury report after suffering a groin issue during Thursday’s practice and receiving a limited workload to finish the week.
